The three historically black churches that were burned down last month in Louisiana are getting the help they desperately need.
The Seventh District Baptist Association, a 149-year-old nonprofit religious organization, partnered with the Governor of Louisiana, local leaders, elected officials, the impacted churches, other faith organizations, and the community to raise funds to support the sanctuaries. LIFE Church is one of those organizations!
Last Sunday, Pastor Merritt, stood before the congregation on Easter Sunday and shared his vision to send help to these historic churches. Hundreds responded and because of this, we were able to make a significant pledge to the Seventh District Baptist Association. The donations received are earmarked specifically for the Seventh District’s impacted member churches: St. Mary Baptist Church, Greater Union Baptist Church, and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
