What is the true meaning of Easter mean to you?
While it may seem like a day, full of little candies, pastel colors and died eggs delivered by the notorious Easter bunny. In all honestly, it is truly one of the most important days to a Christian. In the words of our pastor, "It's like the Super Bowl for Christians!"
Much like the birth of Christ, the death of Christ is just as, if not more important. Jesus did not come to Earth just to say He was born... He was born to die. He lived His life knowing that this day was coming. But just as equally, He rose again, and that is to be celebrated. In remembrance of this day, LIFE Church had a special weekend service with a collaboration from the Ministry of Music and Arts and the Youth Ministry. The Ministry of Music & Arts provided us with some music selections and praise dancing coupled with amazing Easter speeches from our very own Youth Ministry. During our Resurrection Cantata, they set the stage for a powerful sermon that would really expound on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Pastor Merritt explored the Resurrection experience as He took us to the Tomb. He explained that "The Tomb is Still Empty" and set us up for a Part 2 of the series "There Will Be a Comeback!" After worship, the children indulged in an EGGtravagant Egg Hunt. Check out some of the coverage from Resurrection weekend.
